"I have always believed there are no boundaries",
says Josie Cruz Natori, founder and CEO of The
Natori Company. Having grown up in the Philippines,
she credits her entrepreneurial nature to the
matriarchal society and the support of her
close-knit family.
After moving to New York at the age of 17, Natori
studied economics, eventually becoming the first
female Vice President of investment banking at
Merrill Lynch. Always looking for a new challenge,
in 1977, Natori decided to start her own lingerie
company. More than three decades later, the
company has grown into a lifestyle brand that
includes 4 lingerie collections (Josie Natori, Natori,
Josie and N Natori), the Josie Natori ready-to-wear
collection, home, fragrance and eyewear.
The Natori Eyewear collection captures Natori’s design
philosophies. The Iconic collection brings
together an East meets West sophistication and
simplicity. Timeless tortoise, animal prints and
geometrics that are destined to become the new icons
of the modern eyewear wardrobe. The Indulgent
collection includes embellishments such as
Swarovski® crystals and mother-of-pearl inlay, proving
that luxury is a necessity. Style that can take a woman
from morning through midnight is the core of the
Modern collection. Eyewear that features
innovative textures and intriguing juxtapositions of
materials are the essence of this new versatility.
"Natori is a total concept, a way of life," says Natori.
"As we say here, Natori is ‘where life meets art’."
